Dave drew the short straw and drive me to this show on the Wirral! There wasn’t a breed class for Dalmatians, but as the judge was a breed specialist I decided to put her in AVNSC. It wasn’t the biggest of rings, but she showed her socks off, gaining 2nd place. She was rewarded withContinue reading “Wirral KA open show”

British Utility Breeds Association Champ show
Yesterday I took Eira and Seren to BUBA, first time managing the two girls on my own, but it all went smoothly. Eira was up first, having 2 classes, Minor Puppy Bitch and Novice Bitch. She nearly sent me flying in Minor Puppy, her movement was all over the place and rushed, so we didn’tContinue reading “British Utility Breeds Association Champ show”
A few critiques
CITY OF BIRMINGHAM – 2025 DALMATIAN Vd (2,1) 1 Wallington, Sophtspot In The Zone Nicely marked, with a good head and expression. Pleasing body and bone with a nice flow of neck into a good topline. OK for rear angulation, with well muscled quarters, and a good second thigh. Feet OK, but might benefit fromContinue reading “A few critiques”
A couple of Open shows
We took Eira to Darwen Canine society’s Premier Open show last weekend. She was the only girl in the class, and behaved really well. Sadly the ring was tiny so she couldn’t settle into her stride. She got placed 2nd, so I was over the moon with her. We went to Sedgley and Gornal’s premierContinue reading “A couple of Open shows”
North of England Champ show
Only Eira was entered, and unfortunately she still has issues when being presented to the judge, so no placing for her. She was better than the last show and happy to say hello to lots of people.
British Dalmatian Club Champ show
Lottie took Eira to Eira’s first champ show. It was a big entry, so loud and echoey. Eira was in a big minor puppy class and unfortunately was spooked so didn’t stand for the judge. she looked fab in the line up and ran well. Lottie was in her first class as a veteran andContinue reading “British Dalmatian Club Champ show”

Eira won her Baby Puppy class was was awarded Best Baby Puppy in show. She was really good, a bit fidgety round the judge butContinue reading “The Dalmatian Association show”
Darlington champ show and Dalmatian Club of Scotland Open show
This was a champ show with the club open show following on from the Champ show judging. Seren was entered in Limit in the champ show. I knows she wasn’t probably going to get placed, but she needs to get back in the ring and start settling down, she’s been quite fidgety. The club openContinue reading “Darlington champ show and Dalmatian Club of Scotland Open show”
Puppy photoshoot
Natalie from Hellherder Photography came to do a photoshoot when the pups were 7 weeks old. It was a mayhem!! The pups kept breaking out of the temporary pen, they just wanted to love her and her partner, but we did manage to get some fabulous photos of them all, both individually and in littleContinue reading “Puppy photoshoot”
Eira goes to ringcraft
It’s important that show puppies learn from an early age what to do in the ring, how to stand and move on a show lead. I have been taking Eira to a couple of ringcraft. We were lucky to get on a puppy based ringcraft at Allstars dog training near Crewe. The 4 week courseContinue reading “Eira goes to ringcraft”
