Snow!!
Eira’s first experience of snow! I have to confess to being disappointed at how little we got in the Eden Valley, but it did last a while.
British Utility Breeds Association Champ show
Yesterday I took Eira and Seren to BUBA, first time managing the two girls on my own, but it all went smoothly. Eira was up first, having 2 classes, Minor Puppy Bitch and Novice Bitch. She nearly sent me flying in Minor Puppy, her movement was all over the place and rushed, so we didn’tContinue reading “British Utility Breeds Association Champ show”
Carriage Dog Training
Dalmatians were bred to follow carriages in the Georgian period. We are lucky to have the Carriage Dog Society and the provide training and carriage dog trials. As Lottie finds being in a crate at shows uncomfortable on her back I have been looking for something else to do with her, and the opportunity toContinue reading “Carriage Dog Training”
British Dalmatian Club Champ show
Lottie took Eira to Eira’s first champ show. It was a big entry, so loud and echoey. Eira was in a big minor puppy class and unfortunately was spooked so didn’t stand for the judge. she looked fab in the line up and ran well. Lottie was in her first class as a veteran andContinue reading “British Dalmatian Club Champ show”
The Dalmatian Association show
Lottie and Eira went to the Dalmatian Association breed show and fun dog show. It was Eira’s last baby Puppy class, and Lottie’s last show before she becomes a veteran! Eira won her Baby Puppy class was was awarded Best Baby Puppy in show. She was really good, a bit fidgety round the judge butContinue reading “The Dalmatian Association show”
Eira goes to ringcraft
It’s important that show puppies learn from an early age what to do in the ring, how to stand and move on a show lead. I have been taking Eira to a couple of ringcraft. We were lucky to get on a puppy based ringcraft at Allstars dog training near Crewe. The 4 week courseContinue reading “Eira goes to ringcraft”
Christmas 2024 with the Spots
It’s been a Christmas with a difference as we have been without Mac, he’s been on his holibobs elsewhere. The girls enjoyed their time in the Lake District, although it was grey and wet. Their Naini spoiled them and Seren got several toys to love. it was very quiet and peaceful, even the pheasants andContinue reading “Christmas 2024 with the Spots”
British Dalmatian Club Champ Show
It was a huge entry for the BDC Champ show, with a judge for the girls (John McCarthy) and a judge for the dogs (Mrs Jenvall). Lots of class clashes as we had 2 rings, but all three got short listed in big classes and Lottie got reserve in her mid limit class, so aContinue reading “British Dalmatian Club Champ Show”
Midland Counties Champ Show
We took all three Spots to Stafford showground for Midland Champ show, under judge Bill Deamer. The classes were huge, so no placings for any of the Spots, but they all looked great.
