We took the Spots to a secure field this morning so they could have a good run round.
Ellie did some training with Lottie, practising balance, jumping and middles. Mac played with his ball, he doesn’t do jumping over, or standing on, tyres 🤣🤣

Life with Spots
We took the Spots to a secure field this morning so they could have a good run round.

The girls are in the Scout movement and took part in the Great Indoor Weekender, basically a camp at home. They joined in the virtual campfire, and it is compulsory to have toasted marshmallows. Mac tried very hard to get Ellie to share … she ignored all his efforts, and he tried and tried, can’t fault his persistence!

The Spots won a photoshoot with Photopurity during National Puppy Week, so in June we went down to Newent to experience an outdoor photo shoot. Phil was great, he took his time, but it was a hot day so the dogs panted a lot, not their best look! I was really pleased how he approached the shoot, some posed shots and then a natural shoot in a meadow.
We went back down today to look at the photos and pick out the ones we wanted … that was a really tough job, I loved most of them! Fortunately the girls were tougher!

We went on an adventure today and took the Spots on a new walk, not that far from us. It was a lovely morning and really nice walk, with plenty of big puddles for Lottie to splodge in, she does like a muddy puddle! There was a mix of woodland and meadows to wander through, so plenty of sniffs for Mac!

I got a lovely rattan lounger for my birthday … the Spots think it’s for them! I’ve managed to sit on it once!

With no shows or ringcraft we are having to improvise, so whilst we were visiting my parents we did a bit of practise as they have the space to run.
And the girls had a go too …

Another morning at the secure field, the weather continues to be warm, dry and sunny, so I’m still being accompanied by the girls! Wonder if it will continue when the rain inevitably arrives.

so I mused the other day that the girls would choose to stay at home rather than come to the secure field if it rained … I was wrong, they came along this morning even though it was raining when we set off. It did stop quite quickly so we didn’t get too wet!
We took Mac’s jolly egg for him to play with, we don’t let him play with it at home as he gets very vocal! Out in the middle of nowhere he can be as vocal as he wants!

I booked an hour at my current favourite secure field for the Spots today, as there are so many people out early in the morning with the good weather, the Spots aren’t getting the leg stretch they need.
I love this field, it is huge, totally secure, has agility equipment and a pond, everything the Spots and the girls need to stay occupied for an hour. They all go home and chill and sleep!

So we are going into lockdown, we took the opportunity to go to the beach before we can’t … the Spots love a run on the beach.
