Puppies!

We took a long journey north today to visit a very special litter of puppies.  Mac sired 11 puppies, 9 boys and 2 girls in early February, with the beautiful Mia, Sophtspot Golly Gosh at Appenine, and today we got to visit them and cuddle them.  The girls had to come with me, try telling them they couldn’t get a puppy fix!  All the puppies are perfect, really playful, cuddly and confident.  It was quiet a challenge getting the girls to leave, and I had to check pockets for puppies!

Crufts

We’ve been to Crufts! What an experience, for both Lottie and myself, oh and Ellie and Beth, they had to come too!   When I first got Mac I never thought I’d be running round the green carpet with a spotty dog.

Yesterday day Lottie went for a groom to get her all clean and white for the ring, she does love a muddy puddle so needs the odd bath pre-show.  She loves Holly but is a bit of a diva!

What do you mean, I needed a bath?

We stayed in a hotel the night before, so we could all be refreshed for the big day. Lottie couldn’t decide which bed to sleep on 🤣🤣

Am I comfy on Ellie’s bed?
This bed is comfy, shame the tv programme is boring!

Crufts was huge! We found our benching area and set up for the day. It was a long wait for our class, but Lottie coped well, chilling out in her crate. Once in the ring she showed her spots off and got placed 5th, Very Highly Commended, a great result for our first Crufts.

The girls enjoyed going off and exploring the Discover Dogs section, looking at lots of different breeds.

The Dalmatian Joint Clubs Champ Show

So today we went to Stoneleigh KC for the Joint Dalmatian Clubs champ show.  It was a bit of a family affair, both girls, hubby and both dogs came, first time in 2 years that Mac stepped into the ring, for a multitude of reasons.

Lottie got Very Highly Commended in a big junior class, and Mac came first in his post graduate class, and was a close contender for Dog CC.

A walk in the deer park

We took the Spots and girls to a nearby National Trust deer park for a walk. The park is always busy and dogs need to be on leads, but every now and then it’s nice to go and see the deer. Both Spots love the smells and aren’t bothered by the deer, although they are partial to a bit of deer 💩 if they can grab some!

Christmas in the Lakes

My parents live on the edge of the Lake District, and we spend Christmas there. It’s quiet, relaxing and very cosy, and we have the chance of snow!
No snow this year, but no rain so that’s a plus.
We took the Spots to Ullswater for a walk and a paddle. Lottie does love a paddle, Mac is less keen to be honest, but did have a go!

Ullswater

Formby Beach

An early start for us this morning, off to the beach before everyone else gets there. It’s been a beautiful day, but very cold and a bit windy on the beach. We all came home with rosy cheeks.
The Spots had a great time, running, paddling, sniffing, playing, that’s the great thing about the beach, so much space for energetic dogs.

British Utilities Breed Association Champ Show

Bit naughty, sneaking off to a show on the older daughter’s birthday, but she is off doing an overnight scout challenge so I’m not going to get told off 🤣

Lottie did amazing, getting her first 1st in a class, Special Beginners Bitch, and then Reserve in a big Junior Bitch class. I was super proud of her, as she only just in the junior class, so very much the baby.

On the move.
our first 1st!

Twywn Beach

We took the Spots to Twywn beach after we’d had our railway trip, they needed a leg stretch as they had had to wait in the car, the carriages weren’t big enough for them to lie down in comfortably.

The beach was really quiet, and the light was amazing. The tide was on its way out and the sand held onto a layer of water which created reflections.
