Life with Spots
This is what happens when you leave the room … the Spot pinches your warm chair and snuggles up in your blanket! No respect for my space at all! I think he might have had some help and encouragement from a teenage daughter! He looked so comfy, I decided to leave him there.
I like to give the Spots something to chew or lick in the early afternoon as it helps encourage calmness and sleep through the afternoon when we are all working.
Today I decided to do scrambled eggs on their lickimats. They were very good and waited patiently whilst I cooked the eggs, I confess there was drool, quite a bit from one of the Spots, can you guess which one?
And I had a productive afternoon whilst they snoozed, win/win!
We woke up to more snow so another chance to loose the Spots in the early morning light!
More snow so I decided to take the Spots to the paddock to play in it and do a scatter fed breakfast. Not sure Lottie approved of having to find her breakfast in the snow, but Mac loved it. After breakfast and a play they decided to pose …
We woke up to snow this morning, the first time Lottie has experienced it since she was a puppy. We don’t often get snow, especially the thick flake type of snow, so it was a bit of a novelty for the Spots! We did loose them a couple of times as they blended into the background!
We took the Spots for a run on the beach this morning. We got there nice and early so as to avoid the crowds, I do like lots of space to myself!
Mac and Lottie had lots of fun running along the sand, paddling and coming back for treats!
Today we got to visit with Mac’s babies, from Tiffany, Alphadal Ain’t She Sweet. 9 gorgeous black spotted boys and 3 beautiful girls. I had to take the girls and Dave, they would never have forgiven me if I left them behind. We got to cuddle and smooch them, such a contented litter, I’m really pleased with how they have developed.
I was up at the crack of dawn, so took the dogs out for a sneaky trip to the beach without the family! Just me and the Spots, no conversation, just walking and playing! Oh and posing!
Every now and then I like to hire a secure field for an hour and just let the dogs roam free, sniffing and playing without the worry of meeting other dogs.
Today we tried a new field, and I think it was a big hit, both with the Spots and with the girls! There was plenty of space to run, and the added bonus of agility equipment to play with. It was a bit nippy, frost on the equipment, but the Spots didn’t mind.
I wanted to get some up to date stacked stand photos of the dynamic duo, so I arranged a photo shoot with a friend … best laid plans 🤣
The weather was lovely, the autumn leaves added to the ambiance, shame the Spots were not as co-operative as they could have been 🤦🏽♀️🤣
