I was so pleased to get the critiques back from the judge at the Hyde and District Canine Association’s Open show in November. It’s lovely when the judge spends time to write a detailed critique, and especially when it’s from a breed specialist judge. North of England Dalmatian Club Champ and Open Shows
Seren’s second show and first Champ show, her first time out in a big ring. Lottie came along to show her the ropes, and give her some support. It was a very long day, with it being back to back Champ and Open shows, with lots of dogs entered. We started with the Champ show.Continue reading “North of England Dalmatian Club Champ and Open Shows”
Hyde and District Canine Association Open Show
Seren’s first ever show and Lottie’s first open show in 2 years! A nice local one to us, literally 15 minutes drive away. Seren was up first in Puppy, where she came first out of 4, coping well with running on mats and having puppies ‘chasing’ her. Lottie won her Post graduate class too, whichContinue reading “Hyde and District Canine Association Open Show”
Seren passes her Kennel Club Good Citizen bronze award
Seren was a clever girl, and passed her KCGC Bronze award tonight with flying colours. It involves walking politely, gate/door manners, a 1 minute stay , recall and handling/grooming.
Scottish Kennel Club Champ shows
We went up to Edinburgh for the May and October Scottish Kennel Club champ shows. In the May show Mac got a Reserve, Lottie wasn’t placed. In the October show Lottie got a reserve, Mac won his Limit class and went on to get the Reserve Dog Challenge Certificate, meaning he gets a Kennel ClubContinue reading “Scottish Kennel Club Champ shows”
Seren graduates puppy class
I take all my puppies to puppy class, it’s an important part of their socialisation, learning to focus on me and work with distractions. Ellie took on the role of puppy training with Seren, and both of them have been amazing. Seren will now move on to puppy progression before working towards her Kennel ClubContinue reading “Seren graduates puppy class”
Leeds Champ Show
Our first show since Crufts 2020! No benching, so we set up our crates in a quiet spot. Both Mac and Lottie showed their socks off, Mac getting a first in his class, and Lottie getting a third in her class.
Ringcraft
Another fabulous night at ringcraft. It was a bit warm, but neither Mac or Seren seemed to mind. Seren was a little less bouncy, jut a little 🤣🤣
First time at puppy class
Seren started puppy class tonight. She’s doing it with Ellie, so I dropped them off and came back home. Apparently they were both very well behaved and tired very hard!
Ringcraft
Another great night at ringcraft. Mac stood beautifully and ran really well. He was just very vocal and sniffy 🤦🏽♀️ Seren also had a go, she was very bouncy, just like a kangaroo! The two of them had some down time and fusses with Beth.
